Hanukkah Family Day

Celebrate Hanukkah with us at MSJE! Hanukkah Family Day is a free, family-friendly celebration welcoming the whole community, Jewish and non-Jewish, to come together, learn about Hanukkah, and enjoy the holiday through music, stories, crafts, food, and fun.
Throughout the day, families can explore MSJE’s galleries for free, participate in hands-on activities, enjoy Hanukkah-themed storytelling and music, and sample some holiday treats. There will also be plenty of opportunities for creative play, including dreidel painting, Hanukkah coloring, activity books, and a cozy reading corner.
Programming will be offered in two blocks, with activities tailored to different age groups led by Glen Hartman, Art Comen-Bennet, and more:
10:30 AM–12:30 PM | Best for ages 4 and under
Enjoy a morning of storytelling, music, and dancing, and a Hanukkah craft designed with our youngest visitors and their grown-ups in mind.
1:30–3:30 PM | Best for ages 4 and up
The afternoon will feature storytelling, music and dancing, and a hands-on craft for older children and their families.
Come for part of the day or stay for the whole celebration! There’s no need to attend every activity; drop in, explore the museum, make something, listen to a story, or simply enjoy being together.
While you’re here, stop by MSJE’s Store, which will be having a store-wide 18% off sale with a wide selection of Hanukkah gifts, Judaica, and special finds for everyone on your list.
Whether you celebrate Hanukkah every year or are learning about it for the first time, Hanukkah Family Day is an opportunity for the whole community to gather, celebrate, and make yourself at home at MSJE.
