50 Cents For A Life: A Presentation With Author Nancy Rosenfeld

In Conversation With Stuart Green, Author of Rebbe of Baton Rouge event flyer.

One Man’s Story. One Daughter’s Search. A Story of Survival That Must Be Told.

Some stories are too painful to tell. Others are too important to remain untold.

In a powerful, unforgettable presentation, author Nancy Rosenfeld brings her father’s extraordinary story to life, a story of loss, survival, resilience, and the seemingly impossible moments of synchronicity that changed his life.

Rosenfeld’s acclaimed memoir, 50 Cents for a Life: A True Story of Surviving by Synchronicity, takes us into one family’s journey through unimaginable circumstances and asks profound questions about what it means to survive, rebuild, and find hope when everything has been taken away.

But this is not only a story about the past. It speaks directly to our world today, reminding us of the power of compassion, the importance of understanding across cultures, and the courage it takes to move forward when the way ahead is anything but certain.

Join Nancy Rosenfeld at MSJE on Wednesday, November 18, at 6 p.m. CST for this moving and inspiring presentation, available in person and online. A book signing will follow.

This special program is part of MSJE’s programming series accompanying the exhibition Holocaust Survivors in a New Land: The New Americans Social Club of New Orleans, which explores what happened after survival: how Holocaust survivors became New Americans, built new lives, and created vibrant communities in New Orleans.

Come hear a story that could not be told then, but can finally be heard now.

Experience the story. Bear witness. Discover the power of survival.

About the author:

Presenting hundreds of programs over three decades, Nancy inspires audiences to expand possibilities for what can be. Formerly a skilled financial executive and leadership consultant, she is the author of six non-fiction works found at www.iamdoingthisnancyrosenfeld.weebly.com.

A native of Shreveport, Louisiana, Nancy was formerly an executive facilitator for consensus-building and problem-solving, based in Washington, DC, and has been a guest lecturer and substantive speaker at universities, national associations, in-house corporations, and personal retreats. Her latest book features her father’s miraculous escape from Lithuania during WWII. Synchronicity saved the boy’s life as borders slammed shut early in WWII while his family was later brutally murdered. He made Louisiana his home from 1946 to 2007 and searched continents for the truth about their fate, with art as his only refuge.

This event will be livestreamed on Zoom.
