A former Southern kosher deli owner and professionally trained sushi chef, her work explores the surprising connections between Jewish tradition, Southern foodways, and global flavors. Through workshops, writing, and teaching, Marisa invites people to see tradition as something living, shaped by place, imagination, and the joy of cooking.
