Bagels & Grits:

Exploring Jewish Life in the Deep South

This photographic essay of contemporary southern Jewish life by acclaimed photographer Bill Aron features rich selections from the Museum's large collection. The show consists of sixteen to twenty images and text panels that explore home and community life, Jewish traditions and sacred spaces, livelihood, and the South's changing character. The exhibit has traveled throughout North America and received high praise from local audiences for its moving portrayal of the Southern Jewish Experience.
